About us
Cronofy is a high growth, global software company with hundreds of loyal SaaS customers, the majority of whom are in the US and the remainder in EMEA and APAC. Our customers love us and range from market leaders like GoDaddy, Houzz and Indeed to the smallest tech start-ups. Backed by Seedcamp, we have had 8 years of consistent growth and are now profitable.
Our mission is to
Schedule Everything For Everyone. Our success to date has been driven by providing the underlying technology powering scheduling in SaaS applications. We're now working with enterprises directly, helping them address scheduling challenges at business function level in recruiting, support and service as well as organization wide.
We have offices in Amsterdam, London and Nottingham.
The role
As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the finance function. This includes, but is not limited to day-to-day accounting to high level preparation of management reporting, whilst getting involved with ad hoc project work.
You will be supported by our part-time finance director who is an experienced international accountant.
Cronofy is a multi-million US dollar SaaS subscription business with hundreds of customers around the world. We use Xero as our primary accountancy system.
Our in-house built billing system works with Stripe and Xero to automate the production and sending of monthly invoices.
We primarily bill our customers from the UK but have recently established a Netherlands entity for our EU customers to be billed from. An entity in the USA is on the horizon. Similarly, we have suppliers around the world.
This is very much an everything role. From bookkeeping through to budgeting and reforecasting. We value simplicity and automation so would expect you to automate the repetitive and mundane to free up time where you can add most value.
How we work
Our principles guide how we approach everyday.
We work hard but insist that everyone considers the balance between this alongside their life and responsibilities outside of work.
We are direct in our dealings with each other. We continuously work to build mutual trust so that we can give each other feedback without fear of it being taking personally.
We can support a predominantly remote, office based or a hybrid working model. We do really value face to face time and encourage teams to spend regular time together at our Nottingham, London or Amsterdam offices or other suitable locations.
How you'll work
You will be detail orientated, accurate in your work and be comfortable turning your hand to what needed to be done. Your natural instinct will be to look for opportunities to automate rather than do things manually. We’ll also be looking for:
-
An ability to maintain focus and work independently;
-
A collaborative ethic, success is a whole company effort;
-
Honesty and candour in your interactions with colleagues, clients and prospects;
-
A sense of fun, we’re most definitely here to work hard but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t enjoy a laugh.
Your capabilities
SaaS sector experience and revenue recognition exposure is a must. We live in a world of MRR, Gross Churn and Net Revenue Retention.
We’re looking for ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualification with minimum of four years experience.
Strong IT skills including Excel, Xero and the wider ecosystem of automation tools. We’re a technology company and that pervades every aspect of how we operate.
Experienced with payroll, reporting, re-forecasting and budgeting as well as company secretarial and statutory filings.
